General Insurance offers a broad range of products to customers througha diversified, multichannel distribution network.About the role**What you need to know**:**General Objective**: Responsible for administrative and technical support to the underwriting, including, but not limited to collect information, verifying and entering data into relevant systems, preparing risk underwriting analysis documents, and performing general administrative functions.This role handles the most complex accounts and provides technical guidance to the team. Has in-depth knowledge of coverage and structures, as well as internal systems and policy coding.**Functional Responsibilities**:- Identify and resolve systems alerts and freezes into the quoting process to resolve discrepancies and avoid account conflicts.- Analyze and prepare supporting documents for the review and evaluation of Subscription risk appetite.- Support underwriters to follow up on brokers, quotes, pending proposals and any other charges that may be necessary.- Provide customer service, proactively interacting with internal and external customers.- Collaborate in the preparation for the issuance, endorsement and cancellation of policies within the established deadlines.- Review post-issuance policies/support and refer discrepancies to the responsible area for correction.- Maintain updated files of all accounts, in accordance with the internal rules and procedures of the area.- Ensure compliance with service level agreements and volume, accuracy, and quality metrics.**What we’re looking for**:**Behavioral competencies**:**Communication skills**: communicating and receiving information clearly.**Analytical Thinking and Decision Making**: Analyzing data and situations, to see cause and effect and make appropriate decisions that are consistent with available facts, constraints, and likely consequences.**Customer Orientation**: Ability to anticipate customer needs (internal and external), address them, and constantly seek new ways to exceed customer expectations to enhance business value.**Adaptability**: Ability to adapt and work in the face of new situations, individuals and groups.Technical Skills and ExpertiseCompleted higher education.**Experience**:At least 1 to 5 years of experience and/or training related to insurance (Insurance Companies or Insurance Brokers) excellent knowledge of underwriting processes and procedures.People management experience is not required but is a plus.**Data Analytics**: Strong understanding of quality performance data.**Business SLAs**: Understanding of business expectations in terms of key deliverables.**MS Office Proficiency**: Knowledge and ability to use data processing packages such as MS Office, advanced/intermedia Excel, Word, PowerPoint.**Language**: Spanish and advanced understanding of English languageReimagining insurance to make a bigger difference to the worldAmerican International Group, Inc.
