HIL Validation Engineer Location: Auburn Hills, MI Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview: We are seeking a hands‑on HIL Validation Engineer with strong experience using dSPACE tools to develop, execute, and automate Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop test environments. The ideal candidate will support system validation across vehicle domains, ensuring robust performance, safety, and compliance throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Develop, configure, and maintain HIL test benches – dSPACE, ControlDesk, Scalexio, AutomationDesk. Create test plans, procedures, and scripts for system‑ and subsystem‑level validation. Integrate ECU software, plant models, and test harnesses into the HIL environment. Execute manual and automated test cases; analyze results and document defects. Support root‑cause investigation with software, controls, and hardware teams. Implement regression testing and continuous improvement of validation workflows. Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and reports (e.g., Doors, Polarion, Jama). Ensure compliance with automotive standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE – as applicable). Required Qualifications Bachelor’s (master’s preferred) in electrical, electronics, automotive, controls, or a related engineering field. 3–7+ years of experience in automotive validation or embedded systems testing. Hands‑on experience with dSPACE tools (ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk/AutomationDesk, and TargetLink preferred); HIL systems (dSPACE, NI, ETAS, or similar). CAN/CAN‑FD, LIN, Ethernet, UDS diagnostics, and Vector tools (CANoe/CANalyzer). Strong understanding of ECUs, controls, and embedded software concepts. Experience with scripting/automation (Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink). Ability to read requirements, create test cases, analyze logs, and author reports. #J-18808-Ljbffr
