Production Planner

**Position Overview**:The Production Planner will be responsible for managing production schedules and workflows in alignment with customer demand, resource availability, and operational capacity. This role ensures efficient production processes and on-time delivery within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The planner will work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and logistics, to meet quality and efficiency targets.**Responsibilities**:- **Production Scheduling**:- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts and customer orders.- Adjust schedules proactively in response to changes in demand, material availability, and production constraints.- Monitor and optimize the use of production capacity to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.- **Inventory Management**:- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.- Monitor inventory levels of finished goods to avoid overproduction or stockouts.- Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts.- Implement just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices to reduce waste.- **Performance Monitoring**:- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, inventory days-on-hand, and inventory turnover.- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement.- Prepare reports and presentations for management on production performance.- **Compliance and Standards**:- Ensure production planning aligns with industry standards and customer specifications.- Support quality assurance initiatives and compliance with ISO and/or IATF certifications as required by the automotive industry.**Requirements**:- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).- Strong knowledge of production workflows and inventory management practices.- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP).- Familiarity with automotive industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949).- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.- **Proficiency in Spanish and English languages (written and verbal)
