Our commitment extends beyond business success as we strive to build sustainable processes that minimize environmental impact and foster vibrant and diverse communities around the globe.**JOB SUMMARY**Assist the Component Engineer in sourcing components, gathering and maintaining component data.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Work with Component Engineer to influence customer base to utilize Jabil preferred manufacturers.- Independently resolve component part number issues as needed.- Provide component data to all functional areas within the company.- Maintain component data including the Approved Manufacturer List (AML).- Continue self-education and functional development.- Perform tasks as assigned by Component Engineer.- Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.- Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**JOB QUALIFICATIONS****KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS**- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.- Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.- Ability to write simple correspondence.
