**Company Overview**:We are an Asian international company dedicated to **consulting and business development** with some customers within the automotive industry. As part of our expansion in Mexico, we are looking for a **Quality Engineer** who will serve as a bridge between our global quality teams and our local customers. The role will be based in Queretaro, with an initial focus on the Bajío region, particularly **Querétaro** and **San Luis Potosí**.**Position Summary**:The **Quality Engineer** will be responsible for visiting customers across Mexico, primarily in the Bajío region, to monitor and address quality-related matters. This includes supporting supplier quality assurance, identifying product issues, coordinating with the international quality team, and assisting in problem resolution and sorting activities. This position plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction and enhancing business opportunities in the region.**Key Responsibilities**:- Conduct regular customer site visits (typically 2+ days per site/city weekly).- Prepare and submit detailed **trip reports** to the International Quality Team, summarizing customer feedback and quality concerns.- Investigate and identify quality issues in the field (e.g., defective parts), document with photos/serial numbers, and coordinate shipment of samples to Asia team.- Act as the main liaison for quality-related communications between the customer and internal teams.- Help define and execute **sorting strategies** (solo or via 3rd parties) and track until clean point is achieved.- Collaborate closely with customers processing **castings, machined parts, and subassemblies**, ensuring fast and accurate resolution of quality issues.- Monitor competitor activity and provide insights on new programs, quality trends, or potential risks/opportunities.- Support the development and improvement of supplier quality systems based on feedback from OEMs and Tier 1 customers.- Provide flexible support and adjust visit schedules in response to urgent quality issues.**Required Qualifications**:- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as **Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), SQA**, or equivalent in the **automotive industry** (OEM/Tier 1 experience preferred).- Strong technical knowledge of **casting, machining, and assembly processes**.- Proven track record in **customer-facing quality roles** (references required).- Familiarity with **automotive quality systems** (IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, 8D, etc.).- Fluent in **English**; able to communicate effectively with global teams.- Willing and able to **travel frequently** across Mexico.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Experience working with international (particularly Asian) teams or suppliers.- Proficiency in using quality tools such as **5 Whys, Fishbone, SPC, MSA**.- Strong organizational and reporting skills.- Previous involvement in **launch or troubleshooting projects** for automotive programs.- Must have personal vehicle**Key Competencies**:- Proactive and autonomous work ethic.- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.- Adaptability to shifting priorities and urgent issues.Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 al mesTipo de jornada:- Turno de 8 horasLugar de trabajo: Empleo presencialFecha de inicio prevista: 02/06/2025
