This position will also assist Accounts Receivable department with special projects and initiatives.Essential Functions:- Account reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, analysis and issue resolutions related to those accounts- Month-end/year end close activities including journal entries, corporate reporting and IFRS package preparation- Inter and intracompany eliminations, reporting and reconciliations- SAP month end processing including assessments, allocations, and foreign exchange valuation.- Assist with IFRS reporting packages preparation- Communicate to central finance team on status of monthly closing including the preparation and submission of SEM German GAAP reporting- Assist other areas of finance (primarily AR) with various projects and initiatives- Assist with KMPG (interiM/Final) audit requests- Special projects as assigned by managerKnowledge:- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and deep understanding of account reconciliations, accounting principles and procedures.**Experience**:- 1-4+ years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment.- SAP or other ERP experience strongly preferred.**Skills**:- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).- Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management.- Advanced independent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Shows commitment to process improvement.**Education**:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required.- Accounting strongly preferred.Position Requirements:The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
