This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work._We are looking for a **Business Controller** for our business unit located in Atizapán de Zaragoza who will be responsible for accounting financial systems and reports both under IFRS regulations and local accounting principles of Konecranes Mexico, close management and operational reporting to the Regional Financial Accounting Director, incorporating the global guidelines and strategic recommendations from the Region´s Financial Heads.He will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and instructions associated with the internal controls defined by the operation under his responsibility. Lead the administration area, manage the necessary activities to ensure the profitability of the company, the fulfillment of the goals and indicators, and the correct management of people in charge.**The main responsibilities of the position are**:- The position will require hands-on work and accountability with respect to all financial activities. Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and detail of GL account. Perform monthly account reconciliations. Actively participate in monthly, short-term, and progressive forecasts. Analyze the plan with the real variations and the profitability of the work. Advise operations and supply management on financial issues, job costs, and product line profitability.- Supervise accounting activities- Achieve the accounting and related objectives compatible with the control systems and calendars, all in accordance with the guidelines, policies, regulations, and ethics, defined by the corporation and associated accounting principles, through motivation, the delegation of responsibilities, and the appropriate authority to subordinates- Develop and direct systems and procedures to maintain fluid communication from branches or work centers to headquarters.- Preparation and harmonization of all financial statements to comply with legal, company, and local requirements, reports, and audits used to provide management with information regarding financial transactions, operating costs, inventories, sales, orders, taxes, depreciation, property, and other asset values, etc.- Direct the preparation of the consolidated operating statements, and analyze and evaluate the financial status of the business areas. Prepare formal recommendations regarding future plans, objectives, policies, and financial goals.- Preparation of annual tax filings and recommendations to management on ways to reduce the tax burden.- Evaluate and implement the approved programs that are considered appropriate to achieve cost reduction, improve controls, optimize the use of working capital, simplify work, and better use of equipment.- Advise management and business areas on the commercial and economic implications of the contract analysis process (contract review), both with potential customers and with suppliers.- Supervise the preparation of operating budgets (budget), rushes, estimates (forecast), and controls. Implement and manage approved programs (policies and software) accordingly- Audit and manage the commercial area insurance programs that cover all forms of protection necessary to safeguard the company's investment at the lowest possible cost.- Conduct local audits of all locations regularly and report findings and recommendations to Unit Manager and VP Latam- Assist the VP Latam and his direct management in projects associated with the responsibility associated with his position.- Ensure the transfer of knowledge and updating in financial, accounting, and tax matters to the personnel in charge.- Adhere to all corporate policies issued by Konecranes, not limited to those corresponding to their specific area of work.- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and requirements of local government bodies.- Participate in the training and/or courses required for the proper performance of their duties.**You will be a successful applicant with the following skills**:- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting areas, in leadership roles.- Experience in multinational companies- Advanced English- Availability to travel to the USA and other countries, as well as trips within the country- Ethical behavior and integrity- Think in terms of wins and losses.- Anticipate and respond to internal and external customer n
