In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our data science team to develop and implement advanced optimization algorithms that enhance our operational efficiency and decision-making processes. Your expertise will be crucial in transforming complex business problems into optimized solutions using cutting-edge techniques and tools. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the charge in leveraging optimization methodologies to drive substantial business value.**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Design and develop optimization models to improve business processes and decision-making across various functional areas.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization and to integrate these solutions effectively within our existing systems.- Implement and refine algorithms that support operations research, including linear programming, integer programming, heuristic and metaheuristic methods.- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of optimization models to ensure robustness and scalability.- Utilize predictive analytics and machine learning alongside optimization techniques to enhance model accuracy and performance.- Document and communicate complex optimization solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.**Qualifications****QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**- A bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A master's degree or PhD is highly desirable.- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Operations Research Analyst, with a strong focus on optimization techniques.- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science and optimization such as Python (with libraries like PuLP, Pyomo).- Experience with machine learning frameworks and their integration with optimization solutions is a plus.- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and creatively.- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex solutions and influencing decision making.**Tech Stack**:- Python- Optimization libraries (PuLP, Pyomo, SciPy)- Machine Learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn)- Predictive analytics tools- Azure- At Syneos Health, we believe in providing an environment and culture in which Our People can thrive, develop and advance.
