You’ll be part of a dynamic, people-focused team where your expertise, ideas, and contributions will be valued and celebrated.Responsibilities & Duties:**Role Expectations**:- Work with Construction Managers managing the construction of electric substations, distribution lines, generation upgrades, and other projects- Execute work orders and inspections- Supervise contractors and make sure projects are being completed correctly- Establish and Manage construction materials and review material plans- Maintain Safety Awareness and ensure all contractors comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment at the construction site- Manage activities related to coordination of field inspection and sign-offs for construction projects.- Collaborate with management staff to resolve problems and coordinate activities with the Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers.- Make sure projects and all construction resources are within the allowed scheduled and budget- Adhere to company policies, programs, and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American- Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), New England Independent System OperatorQualifications & Skills:**What we’re looking for**:- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in progressive related electric utility industry experience, with transmission facilities construction management- Two (2) years of college is preferred- Prior US Project Experience is a plus- Good working knowledge through actual use of MS Office products including Excel, Access, Word and MS Project- Basic knowledge of various electric utility assets and equipment- Must be able to speak English fluently and comfortably- Knowledge of SAP Software is a plus- Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences both in writing and verbally- Must have extensive knowledge in construction and maintenance of Utility equipment, including but not limited to transmission and distribution systems, underground networks, and substations- Able to assess the health of Utility assets and equipment as they relate to the utility inspection program.- Able to physically walk distribution lines or remote transmission right of ways- Experience in interaction with contractors and assessing their work- Must have current US Work authorization and valid US Driver’s License in good standing- Must be able to relocate to Upstate New York (Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton, Liberty, Brewster, or Mechanicville) for 12 months or more**Why Join K&A?****People-First Culture**: We put our people at the center of everything we do, creating an environment where your professional and personal growth is a top priority.**Innovation & Learning**: We encourage continuous learning and invest in your development through training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.**Collaborative Team Environment**: We believe in the power of collaboration and working together to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and employees.**Recognition & Growth**: We’ve earned our reputation through uncompromising precision and a commitment to excellence.
