From engineering and manufacturing to brand development, design and innovation, we are dedicated to providing unique solutions to exceed our customers’ expectations and fuel consumers’ desire for glass.**Job Description**:**ABOUT THE ROLE**:- The Global Sourcing Manager’s objective is to create a sustainable competitive advantage whilst delivering financial performance objectives by designing and implementing the specific category’s procurement strategy, through the deep understanding of the category, its long and short term market dynamics and trends, by identifying the key drivers that influence the price structure in Total System Cost approach.- She/he will focus on the demand side to optimize cross-functionally the requirements in terms of cost/functionality and to define saving programs through consumption optimization, specification challenge, and supplier base management.**JOB PURPOSE**:- Support Strategic Sourcing Process for CAPEX: Planning, Definition, Proposition and Execution upon PLT validation.- Coordinate Context and Event Negotiation Planning and actively participate in negotiation with suppliers together with the PLT Members.- Coordinate CAPEX related logistic facilitating replication of best practices for best total delivered cost per plant, and inform the CAPEX Procurement network.- Be the Exploration Team Member for CAPEX of TSC Program- Develop and implement a global Commodity Management strategy, tying into global strategies where possible.- Support Supplier Development programs to maximize value from incumbents and to identify and establish alternate suppliers- Working with regional Product Management and Engineering in support of the New Product Introduction process.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:- Successfully contracting suppliers to provide O-I with cost-optimized commodities.- Develop Commodity Strategy: Assist Purchasing and Commodity Managers in the development and execution of long-term supply strategy, landed cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, supplier financial analysis, make/buy analyses, negotiations and long-term contract establishment.- Develop a solid working knowledge of certain commodity trends including: industry trends, cost drivers,global pricing, material lead times, and technical/manufacturing processes.- Support Supplier Development processes including the coordination and support on-site supplier assessment / certification audits and continuous improvement activities that drive down total cost.- Investigate and inform Commodity Managers of new and/or alternate sources of supply as necessary to support new product development, cost reduction requirements, and/or supplier performance issues.- Develop market expertise by updating specific Procurement toolkits - Benchmark O-I needs vs. the market as to O-I’s position in the market, and within key suppliers.- Lead Planning and Definition of the strategy for the assigned CAPEX subcategories of spend, by bringing specific knowledge of the market and suppliers.- Propose Strategy to PLT according to the SSP gate review process for validation.- Ensure all information is gathered in the preparation of negotiations: needs (Volume, Quality, Service, etc..), market evolution, targets definition, supplier’s performance assessment, etc.- Prepare and coordinate negotiation planning, both context and event - Lead the negotiation with Global and strategic suppliers, in coordination with the Global Procurement Leadership Team- Follow key issues on main suppliers: organization, financial performance, capacities, etc.- Build-up the budget by monitoring closely prices, costs, inflation, savings, etc, and gathering assumptions for logistics from the Regional teams - Support and promote logistic optimization approach with the Regional teams to ensure best TSC.- Collaborate closely with Regional teams as to identify areas of improvement, market and suppliers’ knowledge, and follow-up on key contracts.- Build SRM Process with the suppliers to develop further synergies during the contract life.- Follow-up the supplier and contract portfolio strategically to reduce supply risk, cost and deliver a sustained competitive advantage.- Convince and
