Role : VP of Trading Location : Mexico City THE OPPORTUNITY The VP of Trading leads the trading division within MIQ’s Mexico region, focusing on operational excellence in campaign performance and retention. As a key leadership role, the VP manages the Mexico trading team and ad operations staff, balancing the revenue portfolio through consistent performance, retention, incremental gains, and profit across advertiser campaigns. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING VPs of Trading balance technical execution with commercial success. You partner with Sales and Account Management to drive regional results. Leading Delivery – Consistently hit monthly and quarterly commercial targets set by the Board. Trader Workload Management – Evenly distribute advertiser campaign count and revenue across the regional trading group. Weekly Management Meetings – Host local meetings with Sales and Account Management leads. Commercial & Team Solutions – Address cross‑functional work and personnel needs. Commercial RVP Partnership – Ensure synergy between commercial and operational arms. Planning & Organizing – Execute trading best practices and adopt product & tool solutions. Portfolio Monitoring – Maximize opportunities and address risks with action plans. Regional OKR Development – Align regional objectives with national and global business goals. Coach & Develop – Hire, retain, mentor a high‑performing team and build a bench of talent. Persuading & Influencing – Foster psychological safety and influence cross‑functional workflows. External Engagement – Participate in external commercial engagements and represent MIQ Trading regionally. Product & Delivery Diversity – Ensure multi‑product, multi‑platform, multi‑format campaigns. Innovation – Find new ways of working and solutions for market needs. National Best Practices – Collaborate with U.S. trading leadership to influence national practices. Product & Strategy Alignment – Work with U.S. trading and commercial RVP to create region‑specific product and strategy. YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of direct management experience with a large team (KPIs, performance management, development). Expertise within DSPs – AppNexus, DBM, TTD, or AAP preferred. 3+ years of programmatic advertising experience – trading, analytics, campaign management, or equivalent. Proven decision‑making skills with actionable and informed choices. Highly effective communication and strong commercial awareness. Analytical, hands‑on, rapidly changing environment experience. Problem‑solving attitude and a “make it happen” mindset. Alignment with MiQ’s core values. Strong can‑do attitude, energy, drive, and enthusiasm. Desire to grow a career as the company scales.
