Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**Role Definition** To successfully lead a team to develop high-quality electronic control module (ECM/ECU) product lines for engine, machine, and power distribution systems that meet complex requirements and low-cost producer (LCP) targets. Partner with suppliers to deliver production components and help the systems engineers integrate successfully into various applications. **Responsibilities*** The ECM/ECU platform lead engineer is accountable for managing 1 or more ECM/ECU platforms. This includes leading NPI programs to deploy new ECM/ECUs into production as well as maintain these platforms after launch. This will include managing any supply chain issues, quality concerns, and other program maintenance activities.* Work with ECM product line manager on transitioning new technology projects to new production introduction (NPI) projects* Lead NPI projects from launch through gateway 7 ensuring we meet all requirements (technical, quality, cost, timeline, etc)* After ECM is launched into production, monitor cost and quality along with validation of any changes* Contributes to defining the direction for product design, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy with a significant impact on work group results.* Develop and maintain project plans and schedules in collaboration with supplier as well as internal purchasing, systems, and product group teams* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.* Accountable for meeting project scope, milestones, and cost objectives.* Work closely with technical lead in the ECM hardware team as well as with our purchasing, system, and product group partners.**Degree Requirement** Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering degree (Electrical, Computer, Mechatronics or similar curriculum)English conversational level required**Skill Descriptors** **Effective Communications**:* Communicates effectively and professionally by tailoring messages to the audience, providing constructive feedback, staying focused, and using empathy, assertiveness, and persuasive techniques to influence and align others.* Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers**Technical Excellence**:* Provides and champions high‑quality technical solutions by advising and mentoring others, engaging the right experts, resolving moderate technical challenges with strong analytical skills, and modeling accountability for personal and team technical performance.**Project Management**:* Supports project planning and tracking by gathering stakeholder input, estimating simple projects, contributing to detailed schedules and resource plans, and producing standard status reports using tools like Gantt or PERT charts.**Electronics Engineering - HTH**:* Applies deep electronics engineering expertise to design and evaluate complex circuits and integrated systems, advising and training others while selecting appropriate methodologies, anticipating design challenges, and ensuring effective hardware–software integration.* Knowledge of electronics engineering; ability to design, test and manufacture electronic circuits, components and devices.**Product Design - HTH**:* Oversees and enhances the full product design process by guiding component conception and architecture, coordinating resources to control costs, evaluating customer feedback, and advising and training others to ensure designs meet standards and deliver continuous improvement.* Knowledge of a given technology and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.**Reliability Management - HTH**:* Ensures hardware product reliability by selecting appropriate tools and methods, conducting testing, implementing reliability activities, analyzing failure modes, and participating in quality assurance processes to deliver effective corrective actions* Knowledge of reliability management; ability to utilize various tools, techniques, methodologies and metrics to meet and manage hardware product performance and reliability objectives.**Mechanical Engineering - MFG**:* Performs foundational mechanical engineering work in manufacturing by handling routine components, conducting basic installation, testing, maintenance, and repairs, creating drawings or specifications, supporting senior engineers in resolving unusual issues, and ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and practices.**Supplier Management - MFG**:* Supports effective supplier management by following established procedures, using electronic tools to manage supplier information and transactions, resolving routine issues, assisting in vendor research and selection, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure on‑time, quality-compliant deliveries.* Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.**Top Candidates will also have*** Working knowledge with complex electronic components like electronic control units (ECU)* Working knowledge with chip and board level circuit analysis including electronic control units including ICs like microprocessors* Working knowledge with New Product Introduction (NPI), Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP),* Working knowledge with electronics validation including thermal, vibration, reliability, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing as well as safety and regulatory compliance.**Additional Information:*** The location for this position is Monterrey, Nuevo León.* Must be willing to travel 15% of the time.
