Director Sourcing

**Job Title**:Director Sourcing - LATAM**Location**: Monterrey, MX**Reports to**:VP, Direct Materials & VAVE PMOThe Director, Sourcing - LATAM is responsible to both identify and develop new and incumbent suppliers, simultaneously securing capacity aligned with business needs to maximize value generation in terms of sustainable supplier performance in on time delivery, quality, capacity, scalability and sustainability. Responsible to manage local strategic relationships with suppliers and work on long term supply strategy to increase local sourcing to our LATAM and US facilities.The primary focus is to work directly with the Enterprise Procurement commodity leads and Supply Chain Operations leaders to identify and develop suppliers in the LATAM region. This role will lead implementation of processes, tools, and training to drive accuracy, efficiency, and accountability in all aspects of order fulfillment including supplier on-time delivery, capacity verification, surge capacity availability and key quality indicators at supplier sites in order to achieve sustainable, high quality performance. This position will influence key decision-making processes regarding supplier selection.**Responsibilities**:- Identify and develop suppliers in the LATAM region- Develop strategic relationships with local suppliers- Lead price negotiations with local suppliers- Lead the local sourcing team and technical resources in the development of a strong long term supply base.- Develops programs related to supplier overall performance including a robust on-boarding and risk assessment process, execution of risk mitigation strategies, periodic on-site assessments of key suppliers.- In collaboration with the global commodity and the supplier development staff, helps develop a culture of accountability including developing targets, performance management (KPIs), and governance structure.- Continuously communicate, report and perform monthly / quarterly reviews of supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.- Work on capacity assessment of suppliers and develop cost efficiency opportunities- Develops programs to facilitate and execute supplier-training needs.- Leads team who evaluates risk of new suppliers to deliver upon program requirements including on site or other assessments. #LI-MF1**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree within engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain management.- 15 years of experience in sourcing or supply chain management, improvement in manufacturing, preferable in a global, cross cultural environment.- English and Spanish language skills, desirable Portuguese- Demonstrated ability to influence senior managers and leaders across the organization.- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving capabilities.- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with experience in leading teams including employees and contractors.- Ability to influence others and lead teams.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.- Proven analytical and organizational ability.- Tenacious although professional when working with supplier challenges.- Ability to travel locally, ocasionally including international.Mexico City is one of the most important locations in Latin America.
