Product Line Test Development Engineer

Your day to day will consist of the following:- Lead the equipment design discussions with the suppliers- Purchase of manufacturing test equipment and tooling- Ensure equipment delivery to support Lead Manufacturing Engineer (LME) Industrialization Timing and work within the budget allocated- Track needed test equipment/tools, ensure availability of needed material for all equipment/tool development- Work with the Production to receive the equipment and install, debug and release the equipment (including strain measurements, process capability studies, Environmental Health and Safety review / release)- Write initial Work Instructions (WI) and Standard Work (P-Spec)- Provide equipment training to Production test engineers- Support in estimating equipment cost, lead time, and test times- Enforce proper requirements management for the assigned test process- Work out a suitable standard test equipment/configuration for the assigned task- Utilize 6-Sigma for Test Methodology to optimize performance of parametric electrical tests- Support Lessons learned sharing between sites and between Product Lines**Your background**:- Bachelor's degree in any engineering field- Fluent Business English- Proficient software development skills in one or more of the following software languages: National Instruments LabView, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, C- Project management capabilities- Basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical design of test tooling- Knowledge in 6-sigma-for-Test and statistical methods- Good problem solving capability, including hands on capability for S/W debugging.- Knowhow on electronics measurement device and equipment- Ability to work in a global network environment.**Why join us?**- **You can grow at Aptiv. **Aptiv provides an inclusive work environment where all individuals can grow and develop, regardless of gender, ethnicity or beliefs.- **You can have an impact **.
