Content Tester

**Job Summary**:The Content Tester will be part of the Quality Control (QC) Support team responsible for ensuring the accuracy, availability, and quality of sports content on a leading streaming platform. This role involves manual testing of media content, validating metadata, verifying deep links, and ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and regions. The position requires attention to detail, familiarity with digital content workflows, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) while adapting to evolving content and platform requirements.**Responsibilities**:- Validate the appearance and accuracy of event metadata (titles, descriptions, etc.).- Ensure availability and quality of sports content across platforms.- Visually inspect and verify the presentation and playback of content on the platform.- Verify deep links for live events and ensure correct redirection to partner apps.- Act as the first line of defense for user experience issues.- Raise detailed Jira tickets for defects and retest post-fix.- Perform initial triage and troubleshooting- Stay updated with changes in SOPs, sports rights, and platform features.- Maintain documentation for testing parameters and expectations.- Manage event schedules and prioritize testing tasks.- Collaborate with the Content Operations team for issue resolution.- Escalate and follow up on aging tickets.- Track root causes and provide daily reports on testing status, issue trends, and insights.- Validate parity of events across text and voice search.- Create and update schedules for various sports leagues and events.**Qualifications**:- A graduate degree is required. Preferred fields include Computer Applications, Information Technology, Broadcast Media, or related disciplines.- Prior experience in manual testing or quality assurance is desirable, especially in media, broadcast, or digital content environments.- Familiarity with visually inspecting and validating the appearance, accuracy, and quality of content on digital platforms (TV, mobile, or web) is a strong plus.- Exposure to streaming platforms, OTT services, or video playback workflows is beneficial but not mandatory.- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured testing procedures.- Good communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams.- Comfortable working with tools for defect tracking and documentation (e.g., Jira, Airtable). Ability to adapt to evolving processes and content requirements.
