**Job Description / Capsule****Typical Accountabilities**- Responsible for the 24/7 support of **Oracle or MSSQL** production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by the business systems.- Monitoring- Backup & Restore- Database Installation, Creation- User Creation- Data Copy- Data Migration- High availability (RAC for Oracle & Always On for MSSQL)- Performance Tuning- Patching- Disaster Recovery Setup** Essential**- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5 to 7 years Operational experience in Either **Oracle or MSSQL**:- Strong Experience in managing Incidents, Problems, changes and capacity management aspects.- Demonstrated ability handling large number of incidents via. Any ITSM tool- An ability to work effectively in a matrix organization is essential.- A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience and a desire for professional excellence**Desirable**- Diploma (or) Bachelor’s degree- Multi years of work experience in Technical teams- Proficiency in writing scripts using scripting languages.- ITIL Intermediate certified.- Azure/AWS Certified**Skills and Capabilities**- Curious mind, good interpersonal skills, and excellent technical skills in the area of DBA administration- Strong Oracle or MSSQL Database Administration experience- Good in data restore/recovery techniques- Experience in performance tuning- Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service- Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service- Knowledge on operating systems (Win/Unix/Linux)- Scripting knowledge would be an added advantage- ITIL knowledge is a must
