The passion for the green restart is relevant in all our areas, and in our indirect procurement organization, we source value to engineer tomorrow.Joining Danfoss Procurement, you will be part of an international and multicultural Indirect Procurement team composed of passionate, motivated, and professional members.The work location is in our plant in Apodaca (Monterrey/MX).**Responsibilities**:As our new Category Manager, you will lead sourcing and negotiation activities together with our internal stakeholders. You will build and develop strong and mutually beneficial partnerships to deliver value, identify and implement optimization ideas, improve commercial conditions, and continuously contribute to Danfoss competitiveness.Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to the following:- Develop and maintain category strategy: direction, goals, supplier strategy, and execution plans.- Negotiate contracts as a lead or part of the team.- Manage supplier relationships.- Identify and execute new initiatives to ensure continuous improvements.- Manage key stakeholders, understand business needs, communicate strategies, and prioritize daily.- Engage with a wide range of external suppliers.- Act as a sparring partner to stakeholders and your colleagues.**Background & Skills**To be successful in this position, the following is required:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.- Strong negotiation skills accompanied by excellent English skills at a negotiation level.- Experience in project and stakeholder management.- A team- and goal-oriented mindset with an analytical approach.- An outgoing and well-respected communication style due to the importance of building relationships with stakeholders, peers, and team members.- The ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions.Experience with procurement in HR, General Administration, and Professional Services will be considered an advantage.
