As such, LIXIL Water Technologies is seeking the best talent of IoT Embedded Engineers to play a key role in our New Product Development. We are seeking IoT Embedded Engineers to be involved with both the development of new designs and the evolution of current products to the Cloud. Primarily, the IoT Systems Engineer will both architect electrical circuits and develop firmware for both control and connectivity using various schemes such as Bluetooth and WiFi. The systems engineer will also build and assemble prototypes, design and construct lifecycle testing equipment for new products. In this role you will lead engineering projects and provide engineering guidance on new product development and product improvement projects. The position is responsible for collaborating cross functionally to bring breakthrough innovations and best-in-class designs to market, ensuring robust performance and manufacturability. The position necessitates a self-motivated individual who works independently and performs with a sense of urgency to deliver results. Strong time management and communication skills are required to provide timing and schedules required to bring new products to market.**Responsibilities**:- Responsible for circuit design and PCB layout at the schematic level with experience in Altium or Orcad.- Design embedded systems utilizing Texas Instruments, Nordic and Microchip microcontrollers/processors.- Select components including capacitors, resistors, IC’s, batteries, connectors, WiFi/Bluetooth Modules, etc., paying attention to product requirements, availability, lead time, and quality.- Prototype and work with quick-turn board fabrication houses for proof of concept designs.- Utilize electrical test equipment including Oscilloscopes, Digital Meters, and power supplies.- Utilize firmware test equipment including debuggers, emulators, and programmers.- Develop communication protocols and hardware (Ethernet/WiFi/RS485/BLE /I2C/SPI, UART etc.).- Be responsible for the development and validation of product firmware, bootloaders and test code.- Perform Hardware testing and debugging for robustness and general reliability.- Support and lead new designs from concept to post release with a strong sense of urgency and creativity.- Partner with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver reliable Connected Products on time and on budget.- Develop sensor technologies such as Pressure, Ultrasonic, Capacitive and Infrared.- Translate product requirements into design specifications.- Manage internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware and software design.- Implement and test sub system modules such as Wifi, Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee.- Create or assist in creating test plans for electrical, mechanical and environmental testing based on product requirements and protocol documents.- Conduct Failure Mode & Effects Analysis testing (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).- Generate and categorize test data using MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point or similar software.- Report documented issues and track their resolution using SmartSheet, Excel or similar spreadsheet.- Develop information for product installation literature and repair parts lists.Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering or related field- 5+ years of experience in developing electrical designs in Orcad and Altium- 5+ years of experience in writing firmware in C/C++ on a variety of microcontroller plat
