***- The job entails developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services while optimizing costs.**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the operations of the company.- Manage and lead a team of buyers and other purchasing staff, providing guidance on procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.- Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.- Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders as needed to meet demand.- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.- Continuously evaluate and improve the procurement process to increase efficiency and reduce costs.- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement procurement best practices.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, including negotiating favorable terms and resolving any issues that may arise.- Proven experience in strategic procurement and supplier relationship management.- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.**QUALIFICATIONS**- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.- Master degree desirable- 8-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.- Good English communications skills - written & verbal.- Strong project-management skills.Computer skills - proficiency in Microsoft-Office suite**PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS**- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
