Logistics Plant Planner

**Job Description**:Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providersRESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for executing deliverables in support of the logistics organization's business objectives.- Provides support of one of the key areas within Logistics and / or Containers organization to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives.- Communicates within the function as well as other functions, external affiliates, regulatory agencies.- Responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers- Influences others within the organization to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.- Identify problems, update or modify work methods that may be complex in the work area without the benefit of defined procedures.- Promote GM's values and makes customer-focused decisions.Removing Roadblocks & Resolving Issues/Complaints: Observes and steps up to remove roadblocks and resolve potential issues.**Additional Job Description**:**Work Apropertly**This is a hybrid role; this position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis**What you will do?**Partner with Production Control and Manufacturing to represent Finished Vehicle Logistics and communicate transportation requirements, align on production schedule, and design Rail and Truck requirements to meet Revenue Recognition, dwell time commitments, optimization targets based on network design and KPIs and plan successful launches for future programs (ICE and EV).**Critical Skills**:1. Automotive industry experience2. Strong working knowledge of logistics and supply chain3. Knowledge of production control4. Capable of interpreting large amount of data5. Able to interpret basic engineering documents6. Solid knowledge in optimization and cost reduction initiatives7. Strategic thinking for Network design**Required Education**:Bachelor’s Degree is required. Degree in International Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or other related areas**Required Experience**:+5 years- Production Control- Network optimization- Logistics and supply chain- Comfortable working with multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams- Ability to deal optimally with ambiguity and forward-thinking environment- Communication- Analytical Thinking- Planning- Data Judgment- Workload Management- Relationship Management- Vendor/Supplier Management- Negotiation**Preferred Critical Skills are but not limited to**:- Manufacturing/Operations and Supply Chain experience- Capable of interpreting market data- Problem Solving- Able to read blueprints and to understand basic engineering documents- Ability to work globally, independently, and self-directed- Ability to travel at least 50% of time between SLP and Silao mainly, including international travel**Preferred Qualifications**:- Power BI- AccessJust so you know diversity and inclusion are our strengths.
