Always committed to lifelong learning, growth and development.**ABOUT THE ROLE?**We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, engineering leader experienced in Data & AI to join our growing Data & AI team as the Head of Commercial D&AI. This senior, strategic role is accountable for the delivery of D&AI services to activities across Commercial business, as well as partnering with Commercial IT and Enterprise Data & AI leaders in developing an aligned strategy for Data &AI investment and delivery to support Commercial. Together with their counterparts in the business, this role and team will bring thought leadership of what Technology can do to advance our business, lead the identification of business problems, develop and present business cases, ensure successful delivery of solutions and leverage investments to create maximum value.The role will lead the analytics and AI delivery capability for Commercial IT, delivering Commercial use cases on our standard enterprise platforms. The leader will be accountable for the delivery of conformed, integrated data products and solutions to Commercial, working closely with embedded Data Science teams in the business. Working with Enterprise Data & AI the leader will influence and shape the Commercial wide D&AI platforms. The role holder will partner closely with the Commercial IT Capability Leads to ensure a unified, integrated data and AI capability across Commercial IT. The role will sit on the Commercial IT Leadership team, reporting to the VP Commercial IT and will also work collaboratively with other senior leaders for Data & AI to ensure an integrated IT delivery to Commercial.**ABOUT OUR IT TEAM**Commercial IT is a global IT capability supporting the Commercial organisation. We business partner with Commercial areas: Biopharma, Oncology, International and Japan - and also Rare Disease Unit. All with a passion to impact lives through data, analytics, AI, machine learning and more.**ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**- Demonstrated ability to influence very Senior Leaders and the direction of the business and be a trusted advisor- Demonstrated ability to act as a technology Thought Leader and sell new ideas / concepts into the business.- Recognised both Internally and externally for thought leadership in Digital and IT- Ability to identify and remediate risks (financial, people, activities)- Ability to shape IT strategy- Strong people management and employee engagement- Undergraduate degree in a Computer Science or Informatics, or relevant related experience or education- Demonstratable managerial experience in matrix and other structures of technical staff.- A strong understanding of and insight into Commercial strategies, processes, data and technologies- The role holder will possess a blend of design skills needed for Agile data development projects- Strategic leadership to create and drive the strategic direction for Digital and IT aligned to the global IT strategy and influence regional commercial strategies (as appropriate)- Proficiency in managing complex stakeholder networks, conflicting demand, mis-aligned local strategies with ability to develop common approaches and roadmap- Strategic thinking - ability to see beyond the tactical day to day noise and shape long term D&AI strategy in line with long term business strategy- Excellent communication and influencing skills in order to communicate with senior stakeholders across IT & Commercial business.**WHY JOIN US?**We’re a network of entrepreneurial self-starters who contribute to so
