Company Description**Job Description**:**SUMMARY**:Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.**REPRESENTATIVE ACTIVITIES**:_Activities and duties will vary dependent upon functional area assigned. Activities may include, but are not limited to:_- Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers.- Plans and schedules inbound movement of materials from suppliers- Coordinate supply chain, material management, and logistics activities with internal/external customers.- Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with **purchasing**, production and engineering.- Prepares forecasts, analyzes trends related to Buying/Planning, Distribution or Warehouse, Inventory or Material Control, Logistics, Planning or Scheduling, Shipping or Receiving, and/or Traffic or Transportation and uses the analyses to compile and prepare reports, graphs and charts of data and/or ensure efficiency.- Lead monthly product reviews to determine long term product line forecasts & communicate across platforms.- Participate in necessary supply, demand, and sales level SIOP meetings- Analyze and plan material requirements by determining the quantity and date materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levels.- Make comparative cost analyses to determine the most effective and efficient options for scheduling, inventory, production, distribution, and transportation.- Audit invoices to ensure that correct charges have been applied.- Participate or lead process effectiveness and continuous improvement projects.- Interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.- Implement lean concepts and continuous improvements regarding supply chain, material management, and logistics systems and processes.**Qualifications**:SML Professional IVSM4009Exempt- Specialist level- Education Guidelines: University Degree- Year Guidelines: Approximately 8+ Years relevant training or work experience- Progression to this level is typically restricted based on business requirement- Serves as an advisor and applies knowledge of strategies that can be deployed within own function and discipline- Has specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline or function- Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices- Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions- May lead functional teams or projects- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situationsAdditional Information
