The Packaging Manager will lead a cross-functional team of 7 engineers and buyers, responsible for managing our packaging solutions across North, Central, and South America. This role oversees an annual budget of approximately $50 million. The team designs and manages both expendable and returnable packaging solutions. Key responsibilities include packaging design, standard pack optimization, commercial negotiations with packaging vendors, and returnable fleet management. The primary objective is to minimize packaging costs while ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.**Competencies and required skills**- English 90%.- Deep Supply chain knowledge.- SAP basics- Self-driven focused on KPI.- Financial Skills.- Leadership: Ability to guide, mentor, and inspire a diverse team.- Strategic Thinking: Aptitude for developing cost-effective, quality-focused packaging strategies.- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis for optimizing packaging designs and costs.- Negotiation: Strong skills in negotiating commercial terms with vendors.- Project Management: Capability to manage multiple packaging projects across different regions.- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of packaging design, materials, and supply chain dynamics.- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.- Problem-Solving: Ability to address packaging challenges with innovative solutions.- Budget Management: Experience managing substantial budgets and cost-saving initiatives.- Vendor Management: Proven track record in managing vendor relationships and contracts.**General Functions**:- Lead and manage the packaging team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.- Oversee the design, optimization, and implementation of packaging solutions. Conduct commercial negotiations and manage contracts with packaging vendors.- Monitor and manage the returnable fleet to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.- Develop strategies to minimize packaging spend while maintaining product quality.**Some see differences.
