We're building deep capabilities in data-driven design, AI implementation, and personalization while forming strong partnerships with leaders in machine learning, hardware development, and IoT platforms.In June 2024, we acquired the Mexico-based e-commerce agency, Gluo.**About the Opportunity**:As a Software Developer in Test you'll develop a culture of quality around you, working closely with an Agile production team and responsible for creating test plans and test strategies to suit the needs of each engagement. You are passionate about testing and love to push the limits of software to ensure customer requirements are met and that products are bug-free.**Responsibilities**- Prioritize and estimate work to be done alongside designers and Product Owner, to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Be transparent about progress.- Identify test scenarios that are critical and repetitive and automate them, overseeing their execution and maintenance.- Work with the team to ensure bugs are triaged and resolved in time, creating a culture of quality in the production teams you are part of- Provide test plans that allow clients to conduct UAT- Lead the development of the Quality Assurance practice area at Orium through process improvements and knowledge sharing- Stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies and explore non-functional areas such as Performance, Security, and Accessibility testing**Skills and Qualifications**:- You communicate effectively and can prepare and present information in a clear and concise manner- Understand Computer Science fundamentals and Software Engineering principles- 5+ years industry experience in automation and manual testing- Expertise in functional, regression, cross-browser/device, exploratory, and REST/SOAP API testing- Expertise in working with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or other test runners- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL, testing frameworks such as TestNG, Mocha, Chai, or Cucumber, and experience with TestRail, QAComplete or similar test management tools is highly desired- Experience with modern digital tools and an openness to integrating AI-powered solutions to enhance development efficiency, automation, and problem-solving.*- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to critically evaluate AI-assisted decision-making, workflow automation, and its impact on software development processes.*- A mindset of continuous learning, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and trends.*- _AI expectations will vary by role—some positions will focus on AI exploration and experimentation, while leadership roles may drive AI adoption and strategy_**Is this role a fit for you?**:The Software Developer in Test role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and attention to detail.
