Senior Application Engineer, Hospitality Cloud – AMS Join to apply for the Senior Application Engineer, Hospitality Cloud – AMS role at Oracle. Work with Oracle's world‑class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure. Work closely with internal business and development teams to drive the technical and functional global implementation of Oracle's applications. Responsibilities Build and install application platforms and environments as per defined standards. Document and share application engineering standards – specifically Hotel applications to ensure standardization and optimization of procedures and processes. Prepare maintenance run books and validate in test environment as readiness for production implementation. Roll up the sleeves in troubleshooting and help junior engineers with incident management. Configure build/automation installation scripts for key Hotel applications and deliver as per project plans (Oracle Enterprise Manager, Chef, Rundeck, etc.). Lead the implementation of new customer environments in both Windows & Linux. Create and contribute to an environment that is geared to innovation, high productivity, high quality and customer service. Define and drive business specifications for product and component integration points. Edit, sustain, and optimize service monitoring, incident response, and performance to ensure availability and scalability. Partner with pre‑sales and consulting teams to determine optimal solutions to meet customer requirements. Leverage automation and orchestration principles to reduce engineering toil and improve customer experience. Document post‑mortem investigations and apply lessons learned to continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. 3‑5 years of related experience in a best‑in‑class cloud or hosting organization (preferably Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or eCommerce). Strong technical knowledge of Application operations including deployment, release automation, platform architecture, database, network, Linux/Windows, load‑balancing/clustering and security. Detailed knowledge of applications such as Apache, WebLogic, Java, OBIEE, Fusion Middleware, Oracle database, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Identity Directory, Kubernetes, DevOps pipelines. Methodical troubleshooting and analysis of complex solutions to enhance system reliability, availability, and scalability. Knowledge of networking and security (Certificates, DNS, Load Balancers, subnets, TLS/SSL, SAML, TCP/IP). Experience with scripting languages such as PERL, UNIX Shell scripting and batch files. Continuous improvement mindset for emerging technologies and Oracle Cloud application sustaining operations. Proven track record working effectively under high‑velocity, high‑scale operational conditions. Strong results‑oriented mindset and ownership to drive completion. Professional and courteous treatment of others, team player, and collaborator across matrix environments. Ability to learn quickly, adjust to changing priorities, and maintain a positive, can‑do attitude. Knowledge of observability tools and JVM performance monitoring tools (profilers, APM, Flight Recorders). Experience with automation/configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Run Deck, or equivalent).
