Security Engineer

Qualifications:- 3-5 years experience, software engineering or security engeering- Eager to learn new technologies and DevSecOps methodologies (auto-scaled cloudnative systems, serverless, observability, etc.)- Ability to work within an agile, asynchronous team (you must be self-driven)- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, CircleCI, etc.- Working knowledge of source version control, build/release tools and methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines- Experience writing software/utilities with a language such as Python, Go, Typescript, Java, etc.- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) using tools TerraformUseful/Desired Skills- Experience with Linux and scripting (Bash and Python, etc.)- Experience with cloud systems and architectures (Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure)- Development experience with Kubernetes, Docker, etc.- Experience with Istio**Responsibilities**:- Assist in design and integration of CI/CD security tooling such as SAST, SCA, etc.- Review and improve configuration of deployed tooling, leveraging Terraform- Investigate, analyze, plan and deploy cloud monitoring solutions within AWS- Implement security utilities and monitoring to improve observability and situational awareness- Partner with security operations team to improve their accessibility and maneuverability using devops tools- Assist in investigations and escalations during normal business hours- Assist in reviewing/editing/creating technology and security documentationCompany Overview:Oportun (Nasdaq: OPRT) is an A.I.powered digital banking platform that seeks to make financial health effortless for anyone.
