Acts as an advisor to test engineering team regarding projects, tasks, and operations and acts as a liaison to other engineering functions. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.What a typical day looks like:- Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing.- Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, telemeter and record test data.- Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.- Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.- Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports for use by electronic or software engineering, and management personnel.- Develops or uses computer software and hardware to conduct tests on electronic products and systems or software.- Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as proper problem-solving techniques.- Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.- Coordinates all activities and all testers during each testing phase of a project or program.- Maintains awareness of testing alternatives at a level where they can be analyzed and the most effective testing strategy selected and agreed.- Assesses and advises on the practicality of testing process alternatives.- Identifies improvements to the process and assists in their implementation.- Ensures that any risks associated with the agreed test strategy and the system test plan are clearly documented and described to the clients/users and colleagues.- Manages all risks associated with the testing and takes preventative action when any risks become unacceptable.- Plans, arranges and controls meetings, workshops and relations with client/user staff during test planning and throughout subsequent development and testing activities.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:- Typically requires BA/BS/ MBA in a related field.- Good English language skills required (written and verbal).- Experience in a similar position in the electronics manufacturing industry or Telecom.- Strong testing experience, especially in the areas of diagnostics and repair.- Demonstrates functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.- Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry.- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.- Must have a good knowledge of employment law and company practices, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or styles.- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.- Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.- Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses.- Approves and/or creates functional processes or technologies.- Establishes and ensures ef
