And so much more.Come break through with us.Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings - carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.**Role Purpose**:To improve and sustain maintenance reliability and low maintenance costs.**Major responsibilities and tasks of the position**:- Root Cause and Reliability Analysis and taking ownership for ongoing corrective action tracking, implementation, and follow up to ensure that all Root Cause analysis projects are documented- Analyzing equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques- Evaluating effectiveness of predictive maintenance procedures and adjusting as necessary to increase the value of our offerings.- Improving health and safety policies and procedures- Innovate maintenance**Education**:- Technical degree in Engineering**Work Experience / Knowledge**:- 2-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance area- Experience handling Computerizing Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)- Understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing- Spare parts and tooling management- Root cause analysis experience- Understanding of TPM methodology (preferred)**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**- Reliability techniques: (RCM / TPM)- LOTO Training / certificationCorning Puts YOU FirstWe are committed to supporting your health, financial, career development, and life goals as you grow professionally and personally to achieve your highest potential.
