The Role: Analyst- Quantitative Modeling

The Team: Global Index Management & Production Group (IMPG)

The Impact:

The Data Excellence (DX) Quantitative Modeling member will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing automation solutions to enhance data management across ESG, Dividend & Thematic, Fundamentals, and Market Data . This role requires a strong technical background in Python, SQL, and Power BI, as well as the ability to lead process improvements, mentor junior team members, and drive innovation in automation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with global teams, contribute to strategic automation initiatives, and ensure the efficiency and accuracy of data operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Automation Development: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Python, SQL, and Power BI to enhance data processing across ESG, Dividend & Thematic, Fundamentals, and Market Data workflows.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Project Leadership: Take ownership of global DX projects, coordinating across multiple teams and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with global teams and stakeholders to align automation solutions with business needs and evolving data requirements.
  • Data Management & Quality Control: Ensure consistency and accuracy in data used for reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
  • Governance & Compliance: Adhere to internal policies, data governance best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear documentation of automation processes and provide training to other team members.

What we are looking for:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Python for automation and scripting.
    • Strong expertise in SQL.
    • Experience with Power BI (or other visualization tools) for data analysis and reporting.
    • Knowledge of APIs and data integration methods is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of data structures, workflow automation, and process optimization techniques.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of ESG, Dividend & Thematic, Fundamentals, and Market Data is a strong advantage.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to analyze complex data processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop automation solutions.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining high data quality and reliability in automated processes.
  • Adaptability & Learning Agility: Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in data automation, data engineering, or a related field, with a track record of leading automation initiatives.
