Location: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico- Requisition ID: 42632- Department: BusinessNemak is dedicated to developing technological solutions that make **sustainable mobility possible.**We are committed to **working together** across disciplines to drive **innovation** and to shape the future of **automotive** **lightweighting.****Direct Purchasing Leader NA****Objective**Establish and lead contracts and price negotiations for medium and large volume purchases, to contribute to the profitability of the company.**Main Responsibilities**- Forge strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and dealers, collaborating closely with Engineering and Project Management teams to align procurement and project needs.- Demonstrate a deep understanding of trailer components, leveraging your mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal part selection and functionality. Responsible for sourcing and purchasing components.- Total Procurement Savings (P&L, Cash, Cost Avoidance)- Compliance to the preferred supply base- Cost reduction - Working Capital, P&L impact / Cash / Cost avoidance.- Support forecasting and reporting Savings for the Sites/Region**Position Requirements**- Bachelor required for in business, Engineering, or a related field is desired.- Experience required: 5- 7 years’ experience as Direct Purchasing Leader.- Behavioral skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, vital for liaising with internal departments and external partners.- Thrive in a dynamic environment, adept at juggling multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to engage effectively with diverse teams such as Accounting, Engineering, and Project Management.- English advanced required.- At Nemak, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (D&I) play a fundamental role in everything we do and are the underlying platform on which our culture is built.
