Industrial Director

He or she is responsible for the functional management of the entire ecosystem within his or her area of authority. He or she is responsible for deploying the Industrial strategy, including the human, financial and physical resources needed to ensure proper implementation of the policies and plans adopted in the short, medium and long term.**Primary Purpose of the Role**:- Mastery of the Industrial activity and cost base (including Operational M/T/B), coordinating the different ICC/Sites in his/her perimeter.- Assures the capability required to (and responsible for) deliver the effectivity of the Industrial solution (“supply”) that meets the needs(“demand”) of the Business Groupe- Leadership and professionalization of the industrial organization- Leadership of Automation, Digital Manufacturing and Industry4.0 initiatives for the GBU- Control of the ICC financial perimeter (Industrial productivity, Stocks).- Reporting of the overall Manufacturing and Supply Chain Perimeter (KPI’s)- Consolidation of Manufacturing CAPEX approvals and accountable of Budget respect- Region/Country Process Owner for 7.2 Procure/Make/Deliver**Principal Relationships**:- VP Operations- Peers in adjacent functions (QA, Services, RE, Procurement, Engineering, HR)- Operations Directors and Managing Directors (site BL’s, ICC’s)- VP Industry (Group)- Industrial Leadership Team- Heads of Planning/Lean/Process Engineering/Performance- Heads of Industry and Supply Chain (sites)- Senior Industrial Architects- Lean and Digital managers**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**:- Is Accountable for the industrial delivery (end to end) for the BLs- Is accountable for the capability to deliver the industrialization/preparation for production, planning, procurement, production and shipping to the agreed customer at each of the industrial sites- Leads the activities covered by the industrial job family (Industrial Supply Chain, Technologies in Manufacturing, production planning, Integration/Test/Repair, Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, I4.0/Digital) ensuring the readiness to deliver customer demand at region/country level- Defines the Industrialization strategy for Operational Make/Team/Buy decisions- Is accountable for the overall performance of the industrial capability- Is accountable for use, selection, maintenance, development and support of Industrial tools- Is a leader in transformation, Digital Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement culture- Represents Industrial Operations as point of escalation for any reviews/gates that use multi entity resource or capability- Is accountable for the design and deployment of the industrial/supply chain strategy to meet the strategic needs of the BLs as defined by MTIP’s- Is accountable for the central manufacturing costs and budget and acts as responsible director for the Manufacturing and Supply Chain cost perimeter- Is responsible for the strict adherence to current certifications/regulations- Is responsible for the strict adherence to current regulations in terms of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)- Identify and analyze complex questions, and improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques within the industrial domain- Has the capacity to influence and mobilize peer networks in relevant specialists and domains to support and improve the industrial activity**Experience**:Essential- Min. 10 years’ experience in senior operational or industrial role- Management of complex, multi discipline teams- Experience of complex manufacturing environments and supply chains- Experience/understanding of total supply chain disciplines (Manufacturing Engineering(IPE), Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality Assurance, Logistics/Delivery)- Demonstrable success leading and developing diverse teams- Transformation management expertise- Experience of Industry 4.0 implementation or strategic developmentDesirable- Experience in full lifecycle of product (bid-design-development-production-delivery-service)- Experience within world-class similar industrial activity- Multi-segment manufacturing (low/medium/high volume)
