Sr Program Manager

The Risk Mitigation and Growth Program Manager is a Supply Chain leader responsible for developing, selling, and executing commodity growth strategies aligned to the North America region. Initiatives to secure growth and mitigate supply risk include transfer of suppliers, supply base optimization, quality & value engineering changes, among others. This position is responsible for building and supporting a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas development, partnering with our plants and cross-functions, as well as coaching, disrupting, and leading the procurement organization in project & program management best practices.
Responsibilities of the Program Management role:
- Develop a strategy for diverse commodities to ensure supplier capacity versus demand is achieved for long-term plans.
- Ability to prioritize project pipeline based on key Supply Chain-related attributes.
- Maintain full involvement of all stakeholders and plants potentially impacted to work towards achieving the goals.
- Implementation of Agile mindset/frameworks for program & portfolio planning.
- Lead activities and workshops that transform programs into rapid execution & simplification.
- Maintain proper follow-up of project deliverables and program strategy across the project management team.
- Show compliance with communication plans with all stakeholders.
- Effective communication and proper escalation of project progress, clear escalations, and help needed, challenge scope, show compliance with internal processes and with business stakeholders.
- Ability to present the program strategy to SVP, VP, and Director levels to secure funding, resources, and overall support from cross-functions such as Engineering, Quality, Plant Managers, Procurement, and Supply Chain Leaders.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Fully Bilingual in English/Spanish (written and oral).
- 10+ years proven experience working in Program or Portfolio Management.
- Previous experience working in Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain areas.
- Proactive, dynamic, self-driven, able to achieve results via influence and great communication skills.
- Seeks solutions beyond their own frame of reference.
- Availability to travel internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa).
- Knowledge of Agile and its frameworks, especially Scrum.
- Previous experience leading large programs, managing budgets, project management teams, and leadership expectations.
- Experience handling ambiguity, change, and multiple conflicts to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in the electric or electronics manufacturing industry.
- Interpretation of engineering specs, drawings, BOM (Bill of Material), cost modeling, inventory volumes.
- PMP Certification.
- Scrum Master Certified.
- Masters in Business Administration or Supply Chain.
- Experience implementing and leading Agile Transformations.
