**Duties will include**:**Contract Management**- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including but not limited to artist recording, licensing, distribution, and partnership agreements.- Manage contract lifecycles, including options, renewals, amendments, and terminations.- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.**Rights Management**- Oversee the administration and exploitation of the company's music catalog, including copyright registration, royalty collection, and licensing.- Stay informed about evolving trends and best practices in music rights management.**Business Affairs Administration**- Develop and maintain efficient systems for contract management, rights administration, and other business affairs functions.- Implement and utilize relevant technologies to streamline processes.**Profitability Analysis**- Identify and implement strategies to improve profitability and maintain healthy margins.- Analyze and monitor the performance of the label and distribution divisions.**Additional Duties and Skills**:- Full attention to the department's needs, understanding the points being made, and making decisions appropriately.- Analyze performance data and metrics to measure the success of the department.- Effectively resolve client issues or disputes to maintain positive relationships.**Qualifications**- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.- Experience in business affairs or legal roles within the music industry.- Comprehensive knowledge of music industry contracts, copyright law, and licensing practices.- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Highly organized and detail-oriented.**Basic Skills**:- **Active Learning-**Understanding new information's implications for current and future problem-solving and decision-making.- **Active Listening-**Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.- **Critical Thinking-**Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.- **Learning Strategies-**Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate when learning or teaching new things.- **Mathematics-**Using mathematics to solve problems.- **Monitoring**—**Monitoring/Assessing your performance and that of other individuals or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.- **Reading Comprehension-**Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.- **Science-**Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems.- **Speaking-**Talking to others to convey information effectively.- **Writing-**Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the audience's needs.**Social Skills**:- **Coordination-**Adjusting actions about others' actions.- **Instructing-**Teaching others how to do something.- **Negotiation-**Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences.- **Persuasion-**Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.- **Service Orientation-**Actively looking for ways to help people.- **Social Perceptiveness-**Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
