Health and Benefits Senior Associate

As a Health and Benefits Senior Associate you will contribute to a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, financing, and ongoing management of the full spectrum of health and benefit programs for US-based self-insured employers. You will analyze client health data, assist with underwriting, claim projections, reserving, risk analysis, and plan design modeling. In your role as senior associate, you will help conduct technical and peer reviews, assist with building and testing new models, and training more junior colleagues. You will have the opportunity to significantly grow your health and benefits business acumen as well as your financial, project management and client communication skills by working on cutting edge projects alongside leaders in the industry. You will also be an expert in financial management of benefit plans and data analytics. You will communicate complex analysis to clients and help clients take actions that drive value. You will participate in creating new intellectual capital, particularly in the financial/actuarial/analytic space.This role is going to play a lead role in the design and management of group medical, dental, wellbeing, life, disability and absence management benefits for clients.**Responsibilities**:- Interacting with Senior Actuaries, Consultants, and Financial Analysts on the US Health & Benefits team.- Performs pricing, modeling, risk analysis, creation of benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies, drafting actuarial communications and slide decks to be presented at client meeting.- Conducting benchmarking studies and other research; provide value added analyses and summaries.- Analyzing and comparing vendor products, services, and contracts.- Contribute to the development of new actuarial/analytic intellectual capital.**Must Have**:- Strong English & Spanish communication skills (written and spoken).- Strong mathematical/financial foundation.- Very strong Excel:- Xlookup, Sumifs, Sumproduct, Index/Match, Complex If statements.- US Healthcare Experience (commercial/group preferred, Medicare/Medicaid is less desirable but could work).- 6+ years’ experience dealing with health and welfare plans, ideally gained in a US-based benefit consulting/brokerage firm or health underwriting / actuarial function of a US-based insurance company (Commercial/group)**Nice To Have**:- Experience working directly with US colleagues.- Actuarial Designation (or exams passed).- Experience as an underwriter (medical preferred, though dental/vision/rx etc could work)- Work at US Insurer (or better yet healthcare consulting firm).- Health analytics / Data analytics (SQL etc not needed in job, but indicates a good experience).- Experience with financial model creation (ideally in Excel).- Experience creating client-facing PPT decks, dashboards, etc.- Proven history of handling multiple concurrent deliverables, time management.**What’s in it for you?**- Benefits over and above the law: Grocery Coupons, Annual Performance Bonus, Saving Fund, among others- Major medical and Life Insurance- that’s assured- We are proud to actively invest in your learning through various learning platforms- Flexible Working - We understand flexibility is key to supporting an inclusive and diverse workforce and so we have a variety of different working arrangements- A high-performance company culture that will help you to progress quickly and thrive- International contact**About **WTW**WTW is an award-winning advisory, broking and solutions company that helps clients around the world turn risk into a path for growth.
