We hire engineers from all disciplines, specifically seeking:- Intelligent, hands-on problem solvers- Good communicators who can articulate complex ideas- Go-getters willing to get involved and take the initiative- Innovators with a passion for new ideas and continuous improvement**Description**Product Engineer is responsible for the management of the lifecycle of one or more families of products to ensure the performance and profitability goals are met.**Job Duties**Generate and follow up of the Project plan to comply with APQP process from the product development to continuous production, assuring manufacturability through quality and cost efficiency. Lead CPPD meetings to maintain communication and assure success of product introduction and improvement.Manage the APQP documentation in the product lifecycle.Develop and improve the product collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, operations and quality implement new technologies to improve the processes, to improve safety, quality or cost.Communication of plans and improvement with internal and external costumers.Elaboration and follow up of projects focused in the cost reduction during the manufacturing process of the products to reduce cycle times.Good understanding of the steel metallurgy to analyze to the detail the results obtained during the processes of casting manufacturing.Work together with Design engineer and Manufacturing engineer, to input route line for every new part.Lead quality improvement initiatives to assure that customer requirements are met.Participate in improvement projects where assigned products are generating issues in safety, ergonomics, quality or cost.Intermediate use of SAP to submit the part numbers in the system, BOM, Routes.Process AMEF management of part numbers families.**Background/Experience**:- Advanced English listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with demonstrated experience.- Minimum of 4 years of product support engineering team focused; analysis result skilled. Need to have an effective communication with all the team members and all the branches of the company.- Experience in APQP, AMEF, PPAPs requirements and product introduction.- Knowledge in project development, and improvements proposals, problem solution with the development castings.- Advanced knowledge in GD&T.- Excellent initiative during the work is needed for this role.- Good Microsoft Office Skills, Excel and PowerPoint.**Desirable**:- Master Degree.- Green Belt experience.- CBS Knowledge.**All qualified individuals - Including minorities, females, and individuals with disabilities - are encouraged to apply.**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
