Parker Mexico is looking for a: Plant Accounting Manager Position Summary Applies principles of accounting to analyze, record and report financial information. The position is responsible for the integrity, control, accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, processes, and systems. The position interfaces with Location, Country, and Division personnel. The position will be given some latitude in decision making, will require nominal supervision and be expected to provide financial analysis to Location Manager, Business Unit Manager and North America Controller. Responsibilities Compile and analyze business information to provide management with financial information necessary to make business decisions. Assist and support the compliance of the regulations and requirements of the Maquila import and export program. Responsible for Internal Controls at the location, compliance with company policies and insuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements and documentation. Recommend actions to management by analyzing financial and operational information. Provide support to location management, and Business Unit Manager: daily and monthly variance analysis, actual vs. budget performance, assist in the development of financial forecasts, rate development for standard cost and the analysis of actual rates, capital budgeting support, and sales and margin analysis. Prepare monthly income statement, balance sheet, account reconciliation, management reports and sales and profit estimates. Monitor and maintain accounting controls through compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Provide support in the implementation of Lean Accounting and Lean Manufacturing concepts, working with the Business Units and Support Units. Maintain the integrity of the cost elements that comprise standard costs. Perform standard cost file maintenance and yearly updates. Assist in the physical inventory and cycle counting process. Support the preparation of tax and accounting information for local, state and national requirements. Special projects as required. May be required to support non accounting administrative functions such as IT. Function as Compliance Officer for the assigned site. Lead cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with Lean and Engineering departments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. +5 years of experience, including managerial positions. Advanced English. Knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge and understanding of the Mexico Maquila program. Standard Costs System – Industrial Environment. Knowledge and proficiency with Personal Computers, automated accounting systems, and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of Parker Hannifin’s financial systems manufacturing software (MSS/v) and JDE (financial software) a plus. Organized. Strong interpersonal skills. Analytical. Ability to handle conflicts.
