**Field Service Technician****Contract - minimum of 10 months**Peak Scientific, a fast-growing organization specializing in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, is looking to recruit a talented Field Service Technician for the Mexico area. Reporting to the Service Admin Coordinator, this role involves extensive travel around the region.We are an award winning company with our headquarters in Scotland. We have a very strong reputation in the marketplace with plans to grow significantly over the next few years. We export 90% of our sales to approximately 126 countries. We have an expanding operation in LATAM with offices in Brazil and Mexico. Individuals who fit our culture and values will have a high degree of professionalism but appreciate our non- corporate feel in a fun atmosphere.**Key tasks**- Carrying out routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction- Providing customers with a clear and accurate service report for all work carried out- Submitting all service reports at the end of each week or as requested by the office- Maintaining and replenishing personal boot stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested- Ensuring an effective liaison with other Peak departments (sales, marketing, logistics, engineering and production) to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support- Informing service manager of all serious customer complaints and escalationsWith exceptional customer service and communication skills, you will also possess:- Experience of working with pressure systems and transportable gases- Experience of electronics, hydraulics and mechanical systems- Self-motivation and the ability to work with mínimal supervision- Good practical skills and a methodical, positive approach to resolving problems.- Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines- A flexible approach to travel with a valid license and vehicle- Fluency in English and local languageThe company is offering a competitive package and opportunities to develop within an expanding international company.
