At Cognizant, we promote an inclusive culture that values different perspectives providing career growth and development opportunities. #WelcomeToCognizantWe have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to work supporting one of our clients as a Front-End Software Engineer**Key Responsibilities**:- Implement and adhere to front-end design patterns and best practices to build maintainable and scalable code.- Collaborate with back-end engineers, designers, and product managers to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces.- Manage version control processes effectively using **Git**, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts.- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality of the team’s work.- Actively contribute to Agile development processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve sprint goals.**Desired Skills & Qualifications**:- **Strong expertise in React.js**for developing dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces.- **Advanced proficiency in Git**for version control and collaboration in a team environment.- Experience in front-end performance optimization techniques, including reducing load times and improving rendering efficiency.- Familiarity with Agile development practices and working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Enzyme).- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.- Knowledge of UX/UI principles to create intuitive user interfaces.**Work Environment**:This is a hybrid position requiring **2 days per week at the LexisNexis Mexico City office****Why Cognizant?**Improve your career in one of the largest and fastest-growing IT service providers worldwideReceive ongoing support and funding with training and development plansHave a highly competitive benefits and salary packageGet the opportunity to work for leading global companiesWe are committed to respecting human rights and building a better future by helping your minds and the environmentWe invest in people and their well-being.We build conditions for everyone to thrive.
