-Job description**Role Summary**:The Cloud Architect designs and guides the implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions. This role bridges business needs with technical architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, compliance requirements, and cloud best practices.**Key Responsibilities**:- Design cloud-native and hybrid architectures for scalable and resilient systems.- Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across cloud initiatives.- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards.- Evaluate and recommend approved HSBC cloud services, tools, and patterns to optimize performance and cost.- Collaborate with development, DevOps, regulatory and security teams to ensure architectural consistency.- Contribute to cloud migration strategies and modernization efforts.- Develop reference architectures and reusable design patterns.Requirements**Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).- Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, and automation in cloud environments.**Soft Skills**:- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.- Strategic thinking- Problem solving- Technical leadership- Teamwork and collaborationAt HSBC, we expect our people to treat each other with dignity and respect, creating an inclusive culture that promotes equal opportunity.
