Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate daily customs operations for imports and exports.- Ensure compliance with the USA Customs regulations, international trade agreements, and company policies.- Manage communication with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and authorities to ensure efficient clearance processes.- Verify the accuracy of documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and permits.- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any customs-related delays.- Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce customs-related costs.- Prepare and maintain records for audits, both internal and from government agencies.- Ensure correct tariff classification and valuation of goods according to applicable regulations.- Train and guide the customs team to maintain high performance and compliance standards.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Foreign Trade, Logistics, or related field.- Minimum 3 years of experience in customs operations, preferably in the manufacturing or maquiladora industry.- Strong knowledge of USA Customs regulations, and trade agreements (e.g., USMCA/T-MEC).- Experience managing customs brokers and international freight providers.- Proficient in HS codes classification and customs documentation requirements.- Strong leadership and communication skills.- Intermediate to advanced English level (preferred).- Proficiency in MS Office and customs management systems.Competencies:- Detail-oriented and organized.- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Negotiation and relationship management with authorities and suppliers.- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.- Analytical thinking for compliance and cost optimization.Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: $1.00 - $2.00 al mesExperiência:- industria maquiladora: 3 años (Deseable)- posición similar: 3 años (Deseable)Lugar de trabajo: Empleo presencial
