We are seeking an Application Security & Privacy Lead/Manager to join our Application Security and Privacy team. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting products, customer data, and company reputation by embedding security and privacy best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will lead application security and privacy initiatives, mentor a small but growing team, and collaborate cross-functionally with Software Engineering, DevOps, QA, Product, and Corporate Security teams to strengthen the organization’s overall security posture. What You’ll Do Lead and drive application security and privacy initiatives across the organization. Manage and mentor the Application Security & Privacy team (1 dedicated engineer + part-time contributors from product teams). Stay current on application security trends and emerging/zero-day vulnerabilities. Own and manage application security and privacy tools, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). Partner with product teams to ensure effective tool adoption and remediation of findings. Facilitate regular Application Security & Privacy team meetings and track key initiatives. Increase visibility of application security and privacy through metrics, dashboards, analytics, and executive-level presentations. Drive organization-wide security and privacy awareness through training, lunch-and-learns, and knowledge sharing. Participate in product incident response and threat modeling activities. Coordinate internal and external penetration testing. Collaborate with corporate security and privacy teams on cross-functional initiatives. What We’re Looking For (Required) Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Privacy, Computer Science, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in application security and/or privacy. 3+ years of software development, DevOps, or technical quality experience. Experience with industry security, privacy, and compliance standards. Hands‑on experience with application security and privacy tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have (Preferred) Industry certifications such as CSSLP, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CIPP, CIPM , or similar. #J-18808-Ljbffr
