Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.**Job Summary**:The Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Hydraulics Assembly is responsible to lead the manufacturing engineers to create the better flow, machines efficiency, and processes to manufacture hydraulic cylinders with the most safest Value Stream that provide the best quality at the proper Velocity and lowest cost, is responsible to implement the core and enablers CAV’s, and ensure APQP is deployed in the Value Stream.**What you Will do**:- Create and deploy Standard Works for hydraulic assemblies- Implementation of automated processes for assembly- Implementation of DC tools for torque control- Prepare budget for special needs on the value stream and also for process innovation- Create project plans for NSI/NPI implementation- Lead at least 2 Manufacturing Engineers and prepare training courses and scheduling for their development- Create contact network with the suppliers and maintenance team to define the maintenance program for each machine- Define the proper tests to detect leak s and failures in the hydraulic cylinders**Degree Requirement**:Engineering Degree related to the field.Intermediate-Advanced English is required.**What skill you will have**:**Quality Management**:**Performance Management**:- Ensure this person understand all management performance tools and this way, he/she can measure performance in his/her organizational structure.**Manufacturing Operations.**- Understand high precision machining and grinding process to make sure this person can coach his/her team.- Understand Assembly operation and critical characteristics of that process to make sure his/her team knows them.- Clear understanding on 5Ss methodology, GEMBA walks process, STF, Lean, TOC.- Deep knowledge in torque tools and control.- Experience in assembly manufacturing processes.- Experience in electrical tests.- Intermediate experience in hydraulic assemblies manufacturing. (essential)**Manufacturing Safety**:- Understand and practice Safety Driven principles to make sure he/she can cascade with the rest of his/her group.- Understand how SFMEAs work to make sure he/she trains his/her Section Managers.**Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies.**- Have a complete understanding about how Standard Work works and why that is the main document in operations.- Use Standard work, IPV, CP, PFMEA as standard procedures to operate and generate improvements in the process.- Understand RIT (Reglamento Interior del Trabajo) to have a very good understanding about roles and responsibilities for his/her hourly people.- Understand and use all Safety protocols and safety rules to make sure all his/her employees keep safety.CPS & six sigma training and certification.Master’s degree related with manufacturing.**Additional information**- Located in Santa Catarina.- Work schedule is set for Monday to Friday.- Domestic relocation is not available.**Final details****The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select, and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.
