Quite simply, it's every product we sell, every service we provide and everything in between.**JOB PURPOSE**:Responsible for daily Quality and to represent the dept on Quality issues. This position is accountable for assisting in the review of inspection procedures, effective and efficient inspection methods procurement and diagnostic problem solving in control and verification of inspection process quality. Caterpillar Internal Quality Certification and ISO9000 requirements will be used to develop inspection quality system.**JOB DUTIES**:Work assignments will be according to expertise and may include some or all of the following:- Develop and control inspection procedures for internal structures, ensure inspection processes are reasonable & efficient by reviewing and analyzing blueprints, 1E specifications, manufacturing practice, and ensure the inspection result is reliable.- Provides inspection technical support in process control and quality improvement.- Provides programming support for metrics used in the facility.- Perform technical training to inspectors including 1E specifications, welding, machining, quality & safety. Performs inspection data review and analysis. Uses problem solving and root cause analysis techniques to recommend remedial action. Maintain ISO and MQ requirements.- Supports internal quality certification procedure and works with related people to provide technical support to 6 Sigma projects as a Green Belt.- Collate quality statistics and metrics for monthly meeting operation reviews. Compile graphs and measures must analyse the data and make quality improvement recommendations.Limited travel required (Less than 5% of working time).**BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE**:- College or university degree or two to three years of experience- Effective communication skills with other work groups.- Requires knowledge of operating processes, transmission products, and strong analytical skills.- Personal computer skills and familiarity with various software packages.**All qualified individuals - Including minorities, females, and individuals with disabilities - are encouraged to apply.****Final details**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
