**We help the world run better****About the team****Summary & Role Information**:Do you imagine the day when infrastructure management techniques have achieved the rigor and scalability of modern software development patterns? Do you desire to take your infrastructure coding and scripting skills to the next level?As a Senior Automation Developer, your role will be to design, develop, test and deploy automation content for SAP production cloud networks supporting our worldwide client base. We follow the Infrastructure-as-Code paradigm, defining cloud infrastructure in reusable code assets, tested and deployed via a modern CI/CD pattern.You will enhance our team with your experience in agile development practices and test-driven development. You will work mainly with open-source software (Python, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Netbox) and develop/refactor Python and Ansible playbooks & modules to automate the lifecycle events of our global network infrastructure.**Experience/ Role Requirements**:Required Proficiency:- 5+ years of experience within a software development role.- Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.- Strong proficiency in modern Ansible and Python coding, testing, debugging and automation techniques- Experience in agile and test-driven development practices and technologies (CI/CD, Git, JIRA)- Strong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred Additional Skills:- Experience with Arista and/or Cisco networking device management and protocols- Experience with test automation approaches and tools- Experience with Kubernetes- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or comparable qualification.Soft Skills and Other Requirements:- High level of commitment and reliability- Comfortable working in an agile environment and being able to challenge yourself and your team to improve ways of working- Willingness to participate in off-hours support as necessary related to core job activities- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong communication skills including the ability to write clear technical documentation**#SAPGCSICareers****We build breakthroughs together****We win with inclusion**SAP’s culture of inclusion, focus on health and well-being, and flexible working models help ensure that everyone - regardless of background - feels included and can run at their best.
