**Location**: Apodaca, NLE, MX, 66614**Company**:CorningControls technician on new Monterrey plant, focused in the Cable manufacturing process. with strong linkages to MOB and capacity increase projects.**Day to Day Responsibilities**:- Provide electrical and controls engineering and equipment technical expertise in fiber optic cable manufacturing in support of production, maintenance, continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity improvements.- Serve as a resource for in-depth troubleshooting of production equipment & processes- Provide technical support when maintenance requirements exceed electrical associate capabilities.- Actively participate in all phases of projects including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel and technology transfer. Individual must be capable of executing project assignments, in a team-based environment, with mínimal supervision- Provide on-call & weekend support as needed**Required Education**:- Technical degree**Required Skills**:- 4+ years of experience in a controls technician role or other similar function- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and safety systems- Knowledge of controls systems design, programming, and systems integration- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.- **English not required.****Desired Skills**:- Rockwell Studio 5000 experience- GE iFIX experience- Mechanical aptitude- Familiarity with extrusion- Continuous process improvement experience- Experience with Excel and OSIsoft PI**Soft Skills**:- Creative & innovative approach to problem solving- Positive demeanor and team-oriented approach- Ability to learn, be flexible, and adapt quickly- Strong organization and time management skills- Self-starter with a strong work ethic- Communication skills (verbal and written)- Highly motivated, results oriented, customer focused, with a high commitment level
