Together, we take ownership for what we do — whether supporting IT infrastructure, developing new technology in-house, launching a new Amazon Operations facility, or delighting our customers by delivering packages directly to them.About The RoleAs an IT Infrastructure Equipment Engineer, you will use your knowledge and specialized skills to implement technical solutions and provide high quality inventory management, including RMA, Creating Relationships with Supplier for best support, Be able to support the Peak Season High Demand and provision equipment to each station on all Mexico. You are able to determine when it is appropriate to deviate from a standard practice to accomplish the desired result. You can troubleshoot and solve straightforward problems that do not have defined SOPs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to- Network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling and systems administration in a variety of software and hardware environments.- Ensure infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.- Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.- Manage local technical projects.- Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes.- Identify root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.- This role requires to travel constantly.- This is not a remote positionKey job responsibilities- Manage and Administer all the Active Assets in Stuff (Active and Consumables) this includes but not limited to TC5X, Averys, Zebra Printers, Switches, AP, Laptops, Tools, etc that falls under IT Scope- Manage all RMA and Maintenance Contracts with IT Suppliers- Interact with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.- Manage local technical projects.- Use always frugality- Interact with Purchasing and Finance- Maintain or create policies, procedures, and processes. Identify root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.A day in the life- Audit Stuff to make sure that is up to date and modify accordingly, based on Finance and Purchasing request- Have the ticket cue up to date and following SLA- Make sure we have the PO and Equipment ready for high season and make sure equipment that is damage has its own RMA Process- In very specific cases will be required to do work beyond the normal IT Scope but always following Policy- Is always encouraged to think outside the box- Its OK to ask for help, there is always eager to help in Amazon- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or Industrial Engineer- Ability to explain complex materials management concepts in simple terms- Proficient in PFEMA, 5S, SCRUM, ITIL- Ability to manage high priority projects- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Proven ability to work successfully with limited supervision- Ability to travel up to 40%
