Strategic Procurement Specialist

Each team contributes to DXC's success, and each individual delivers world-class service and has opportunities to grow and learn._**About this role**:The Strategic Procurement Specialist is responsible for oversight of technology category suppliers worldwide, including goods and services that support DXC and its customers. This includes but is not limited to supplier contracting and negotiations, setting category strategies, supply base development to meet DXC and customer requirements, supplier qualification, establishing quality processes, and resolving associated issues. Emphasis on cost optimization, risk mitigation, negotiations, strategy, supplier development, business relationships, quality of service, assurance of supply, and predictability. You will develop DXC procurement strategies, policies, and tactics required to achieve business objectives. Adds value to the company by managing performance aspects of major contracts and subcontracts.**What You’ll Do**:- Executes risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operational strategies- Works with business stakeholders to develop, implement and maintain contracts and relationships with strategic suppliers- Negotiates contractual Terms & Conditions with suppliers- Identifies common contract risk areas- Negotiates acceptable contracting outcomes- Utilizes supply chain and procurement tools- Participates as a senior member of a cross-functional team, including occasional project management related to supply chain objectives- Meets with business stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into procurement plans; comprehends the industry and the Marketplace- Monitors supplier performance- Participates in Supplier Selection Activities**Who you are**- 4-6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain function- Minimum first-level university degree or equivalent experience preferred- Strong understanding of procurement processes, industry, and suppliers- Ability to create a contract starting with standard company contract templates- Excellent communication skills, particularly presentation, and negotiation- Regularly consult with multidisciplinary business functions, including AP, legal, operations, and sales- In addition to the basic qualifications noted above, we find that individuals who are successful in this role have:_- Strong analytical skills- Basic Project Management Skills- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment- Strong teamwork and basic leadership skills- Mastery in English- Joining DXC connects you to brilliant people who embrace change and seize opportunities to advance their careers and amplify customer success.
