**Job Description Summary**:The AEO Control Systems team is looking for a passionate engineer looking to grow in the intersection between the Aviation and the Power/Oil & Gas industries. This position is required to execute with minor guidance tasks and activities to support and develop the new generation of Control Software of Aeroderivative Engines powering the world.**Roles and Responsibilities**Execute, with some guidance from senior engineering team members, the analysis, design, test, and integration activities required to deliver engine controls solutions for GE Aviation products. Activities include:- Evaluate the functional requirements to achieve the operational requirements of Aeroderivative engines- Define key characteristics of the electronics, fuel, hydraulic systems, sensors, actuators and control logic design required to achieve the control system functional requirements for power management, I/O signal processing, fault detection, accommodation, power response and operations across the whole engine mission.- Use design tools such as Beacon, NPSS and MATLAB / Simulink to construct controls system solutions- Verify system operation in desktop simulations, hardware-in-the-loop tests and engine test support,- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews- Be accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision/prescribed work instructions/systems checking. Execute within a well-defined operations framework- Participate in process standardization and GE Lean Simplification efforts**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.- Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position- Familiarity with the processes for requirements, logic design, and simulation/test of real time embedded software**DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS**:- Strong Problem-Solving skills- Software development experience using C, C++ or similar languages.- Knowledge of real time control systems development tools (e.g. DOORS, Beacon, SCADE, Simulink, NPSS, Change & Synergy)- Familiarity with controls software design, test and analysis tools and systems- Passion for Continuous Improvement and early adopter of change, adjusting to find faster, simpler approaches that are impactful- Desire to work in a diverse and collaborative team environment- Strong written and oral communication skills in EnglishWe are looking for enthusiastic Control Systems engineers who will make the best from the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment, with cutting-edge technologies towards inventing the future of flight, lifting people up and bringing them home safely.**Additional Information**:**Relocation Assistance Provided**:No
