We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of IT COO Regional Americas Delivery Lead . This role is responsible for ensuring strong oversight and control of operational disciplines: finance, workforce management, vendor and governance. Stakeholder management at Tech CIO, CTO, Value Stream leads, and Regional teams (both tech and business). Developing and shaping in partnership with the senior management team the long-term regional vision, defining strategy, optimising process, and enhancing overall performance to ensure alignment to strategic objectives of the area.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Drive all aspects of the WPB IT Regional Americas people agenda and strategy, including Talent Management; Inclusion; governance, coordination, and execution.
  • Partner with the Head of Americas CIO and the Americas leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the area IT goals and objectives.
  • Build strong & effective relationships across a complex and senior stakeholder framework including Heads, Senior teams, Senior Tech COO & COO teams.
  • The COO Delivery lead will directly manage the Business Management function and have local oversight of Cost and Commercial management, Third Party Risk management and Strategy, Governance and Risk & Control, and be the single point of contact for the region across all disciplines.
  • Create and develop strategic plans for the location (e.g. Location Strategy).
  • Work in partnership with Cost and commercial team and Value Streams leads, tracking spend against forecasts and strategic performance reporting.
  • Ensure effective alignment between Global and Local delivery.
  • Be the point of contact across risk control forums.
  • Drive control compliance and KCI improvement.
  • Responsible for implementing workforce strategy to support organisational goals and execution of workforce plans.
  • Lead the Cost & Commercial team in Mexico in managing Charges (RTB and CTB) to deliver technology service on budget.
  • Lead the Third Party Risk manager based in Mexico, responsible for commercial reviews and opportunity assessment of 3rd Party Vendor Management Governance.
  • Functionally accountable to the Head of Business Management, the role will need to forge a strong relationship with the business.
Requirements
  • 15 + years professional experience in a large Global organization preferably in an IT department.
  • Experience in COO /Cost and Commercial/ Business Management/ Human Resources function with multinational organizations.
  • Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives, driving meaningful results and impact.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in clear language.
  • Deep understanding of governance structures, processes and objectives, particularly in the business management field.
  • Proven ability in managing and coordinating geographically dispersed teams.
  • Knowledge of Engineering will be an added advantage.
  • Proven track record in business / project financials.
  • Proven stakeholder management / Relationship Management.
  • Excellent analytical skill, a passion for metrics and figures, and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
  • Experience of working on a global scale (i.e. across timezone & geography and with remote teams).
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently, under pressure and proactively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to take on the work with minimum guidance and lead own initiatives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Positive, proactive and can-do attitude.
  • Strong Excel skills.
