The main purpose of the Product Expert (Investment) is to provide personalized attention and advice to clients with a value greater than two million pesos in order to attract new resources from other financial institutions. This is achieved through adequate diversification for each client and regular conferences on market views and the products we offer to satisfy their investment needs.
In addition, the investment manager must be specialized in sophisticated investment products (such as DPM, PIM, structured notes, commercial papers, equity, etc.), which in the long run translates into more profitable portfolios that allow HSBC to generate higher revenue.
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Attraction of new money.
- Training and specialization in investment products.
Leadership & Teamwork
- Collaborate with team members.
- Lead investment strategy for each region (coordinate strategy with head of wealth premier and RM's).
Business/Commercial Knowledge
Manage relationships with both internal and external clients. Possess knowledge relevant to commercial strategies and certification for selling or advising on financial products.
Problem Solving
Interpret information to advise and support RM as a product specialist, adding value to the relationship between clients and HSBC. Manage highly skilled analysts. Ensure coverage of customer needs and risk profiles to advise on financial planning. Assist RM in acquiring new clients and referrals.
Develop new ideas to define business with key products to help differentiate traditional investments and portfolios.
Strategic Responsibility
Advise RM and customers to enhance relationships through value strategies based on current and future customer needs. Research and interpret information and data to formulate recommendations.
Requirements
Experience
Experience in investing and implementing international active portfolios such as DPM, PIM, mutual funds, ETFs, and derivatives, along with a deep understanding of local regulations and investment regimes.
Functional Knowledge
- Specialized in sophisticated investment products.
- Awareness of market events that may affect investments.
- Knowledge of internal processes regarding investment products.
Others
- Strong communication skills for dealing with internal and external clients.
